Angelica

Angelica Panganiban, a Filipino American model and actress, who is also a TV hostess as well as a comedian. She is regarded as the new Queen of Drama by several media outlets, Panganiban is regarded as one of the best seasoned and versatile actresses in the Philippines. The contestant was among the youngest ever to be 2nd. Angelica Hale, then 4 years old, became seriously ill in 2012 as a result of a strep pneumonia bacterial infection. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston put her on ECMO, a life-saving intervention. She became septic, suffered organ failure including kidneys which did not heal. The new standard was hemodialyses and peritoneal-dialysis. After 80 straight days in hospital, from death to recovery, she finally returned home, but her life was forever changed. Angelica was in dialysis for nearly a year until she finally was able for the biggest procedure of her life, a kidney transplant. Her mother was the one who would donate the kidney. Angelica Hale along with her mother underwent an organ transplantation procedure in Emory University Hospital in Atlanta and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston on September 13th, 2013. Angelica Hale has been pursuing her goals of becoming a star ever since.
